Summery Glow Using 5 Products

urban decay palette

Last week I accepted a collaboration from someone on Facebook in a beauty group. She wanted to do a collab for Instagram and I jumped at the idea. The idea was to shop our own stash for 5 products and for my look for a summery glow. The makeup I chose for my look was the Urban Decay eyeshadow palette, Hard Candy highlighter, Covergirl Big Eyes mascara ,Covergirl Ready Set foundation and pressed powder by L'Oreal.

I loved how my look turned out especially using the eyeshadow. Urban Decay have some very shimmery palettes and I won this palette from Glam-Express, a beauty community where women share their created looks. I decided to go with a Golden and Purple eye look and it turned out so pretty. Of course I used a few more products to finish off my look like eyeliner and lipgloss.

Covergirl Bombhell Mascara I caught on a closeout sale for $3.79 at my local Krogers grocery store. I did some research on this mascara and found out it's like $9 regular price, so I got a great deal last week.

Using Virtual Makeover Platforms For Real Looks

I just love doing Virtual Makeovers on myself and on family and friends. Virtual makeovers can really become a reality, after all it's your real face. I use two different programs to get "What can be realistically looking" to photos'. First, I take a photo of my full face and try to make sure my hair is away from my face. I also make sure that I have a clear enough photo to get the best results when making myself over.

Down below in my before picture I used my cellphone, It's recommended to use a higher quality camera that way you will not have too much shadow around your photo. A high quality photo makes the virtual makeover look more natural, but for now I'm using my cellphone photo as an example.

The next step is I make sure to get the corners of my eyes and lips so that the makeup applies correctly. Next I apply my closest foundation and concealer, then the good part comes when you add the eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and blush. I then go into hair styles, which I picked for my second photo, I picked a long hair style because it goes great with my face shape, which is oval.

I fooled around with different hair colors until I found the perfect shade that agrees with my face and makeup. The finished look is beautiful to me and is very happy with my virtual makeover.
