Dropped Out Of Photography, Was it worth it?
Posted on Tuesday, August 23, 2016
I really hate I had to drop out of The Art Institute for photography. I really love taking pictures but sometimes when financial situations fit you have to do what you have to do. Thinking of a YouTube video I watched about a few months ago, I'm wondering did I make the right chose. The woman went on about your degrees don't mean nothing when you can't find a job after completing college. Let's be real, I think it's true in some cases and in the back of my mind I felt like one of those cases.
Dropping out was a chose because like I said financial situations arose and it kind of still hurts in doing it. Photography courses was very interesting but also demanding to go out and do projects, mind you I lost my car and income was dropped done a bit. In my mind I feel like freelancing is a way to still succeed without a degree, I see people all the time making photography a business and being their own bosses. Do I think I can make it freelancing? Yes and No. Firstly I need transportation to go out and explore different scenes and without one it's impossible for me to showcase my work and get people attention. Seems like when I want something so bad there is always a road block.
I have a handful of photos I've taken and have gotten some good feedback, so I will continue to sharpen my skills and hopefully by next year I'll have a car and try and make contacts to make this a business. After dropping out there's another bill added to my belt, Which is the student loans I have to start paying back in October. Life throws you lemons and you have to deal with them until you can make sweet lemonade. If I dream big enough and try much harder, I think I can make it in this world.

For The Love Of Photography
Posted on Tuesday, March 29, 2016
I've been having so much fun taking photo's today. I was told by my Professor that I needed to take more for my next task. Lately the task have been pretty difficult with learning how to use Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. The frustration I had made me want to quit and to think I have until August 2017 to graduate, Lord help me! Let me please stick to this program. Anyway my next project is a slideshow and I had to take action and start taking picture, so today had hubby prepare for photos. The first photo was of his muscle with a tube of lipstick with the words "Love Stong". Creativity for me is kind of hard, so I really had to think up something that represents love and that it's strong.
Here are a few more photo's I wanted to share, I'm getting better and hoping soon to get another car to shoot more scenes . Look at him lo! handsome as can be

Yes! I can proudly say that now after many years of thinking I couldn't be one. Remembering back on 2014 I was tired of doing nothing with my life. So I posted on Facebook for family or friends to help me find information on online high schools. A long time friend put me in contact with a friend of hers that completed her diploma with Franklin Virtual High School.
The program cost about $164, which I didn't have at that time and posted for help and to no avail, no one helped me. I was determined to pay and get started. To make a long story short about that, I passed then this year I decided to register for college as a photography student. It's challenging as heck but I'm trying my best so that I can graduate. Photography has always been something I wanted to do of course. Maybe in the future, I'll be doing fashion and wedding photo. Well, today I decided to do some test shots with my handsome husband and they turned out pretty good. He was such a good sport lol! and he looks amazing in the shots, new beginner here in this photography thing but I know this is going to turn into something pretty awesome. Here are the shots and I'm so proud of myself for taking the steps to achieve something in life.
This last image was my homework, it's a composite where I had to mask one image unto the next. I really hope I get a good grade for this. Anyway readers thanks for listening to me and your comments are welcomed.
