Actionable Steps To Improve Your Self-Confidence

Collaborative Content

Hands up who is feeling full of self-confidence today? If you're the person sat at the back hesitantly wondering whether to put their hands up, then no, you probably aren't. And isn't that true of so many of us? We don't push yourselves to the front to give ourselves recognition. We dither over every decision we have to make. We are afraid to take steps that may appear risky.

Low self-confidence is something many of us have to deal with. Be it a low self-esteem about who we are and what we look like, to the paralyzing fears that prevent us from moving forward. If you're identifying with what we are saying, take comfort in the fact that you're not alone, but you don't have to resign yourself to the way you are thinking and feeling. There are actionable steps you can take to improve your self-confidence, and some of them can even be done today.

Consider the following as examples.

Dress well. It's the simple things that can improve our self-confidence, and sometimes it can be decided on the outfit we wear. While we might still be a jumble of nerves and fears inside, we can at least hide that through the clothing we choose to put on. But when other people start to take us seriously because we are dressed smartly, then we might also start to take ourselves seriously, and grow in confidence as a result.

Stop comparing yourself with others. Especially when it comes to our body image, we can unfavourably compare ourselves to others. Looking at the models in beauty magazines, or the Instagrammed photos of our friends, we decide our bum is too big, our breasts are too small, our skin is too saggy, and our hair doesn't look right. You may have been body shamed by others in your life, but let's face it, sometimes you body shame yourself. If improving your body will improve your self-confidence, be it through a breast augmentation or a detox diet, then so be it. But otherwise, be proud of your body. You don't have to look like everybody else, and besides, many of the photos of the models you see have been airbrushed anyway, so they are not what you would call authentic.

Practice positive self-talk. Following on from the above, sometimes, we are our own worst enemy. We hurt ourselves with negative thoughts - "I'm useless," "I'm not pretty enough," "other people are better than me," blah blah blah. Stop it! Stop damaging your self-esteem with this negative way of thinking. Instead, practice positive self-talk. Flatter yourself on the best parts of your body. Focus on your life's achievements. Give yourself some credit, instead of thinking the worst about yourself all the time.

Give yourself some me-time. Our low self-confidence often comes from being around others. If we're not comparing ourselves to them, then we are letting their words and actions define who we are, instead of being ourselves. Get away from it all for a while. Find a place where you can focus on who you are, so you can build up your self-confidence away from the influence of others. Write a journal, focussing on the positive things in your life. Give yourself some purposeful pampering, taking time to flatter your mind and body. Do those things that you do well, so you aren't in a position where you are almost guaranteed to fail. Whatever you do in your me-time, make it a positive experience for you, where you can build your self-confidence instead of being in a place where it might falter.

Ditch the people who hurt you. You can't escape everybody who hurts your feelings and who lowers your self-confidence. But there may be people in your life that you don't have to see very often, or that you can ditch completely. This includes those so-called friends who put you down rather than lift you up. They aren't really friends at all if they do or say things that hurt you. And this applies to anybody on your social media networks, who knowingly or unknowingly have a negative effect on your life. Get rid of them, tell them where to stick their hurtful words, and block them from your life. And then concentrate on the next step.

Be with the people who are good for you. There should be people in your life who make you feel good about yourself. These are the people who make you laugh. These are the people who listen and help you when you're feeling down. And these are the people who lift you up and help you get perspective when you're hard on yourself. These are the people you need to be with, and not the naysayers, gossipmongers, and critical assholes that really deserve no place in your life. Positive people will influence you the right way, so if you don't have enough of them in your life right now, seek them out. Join new groups, begin new hobbies, and find the people who can help you be yourself, rather than hanging out with those people who twist you up with their negative attitudes towards you.

Do something courageous. If you have any fears in your life, you are never going to overcome them by shielding yourself away from them. Sometimes, you have to confront them. And by doing so, you will both overcome the fear you had and benefit from renewed self-confidence because you dared to be brave and courageous. We don't know how this applies to your life today but think about the way your fears are holding you back, and do your best to pluck up the courage. These tips may help you to do it.

Empower yourself. Why are you lacking in confidence? If you are struggling at work, learn the skills you need to do your job, or start to look for another job that is more in tune with you. If you are terrified of public speaking, practice using this useful guide to help you. If you never know what to say at parties or social gatherings, increase your knowledge, and learn some interesting facts, so you have something worth saying. In whatever area you are weakest in, find a way to build strength. By empowering yourself, you will increase in confidence.

So, if you are suffering from a low self-confidence, don't accept it or beat yourself up about how inadequate you feel. Take actionable steps to build yourself up, and start by doing that today. And if you have any other useful tidbits of advice for our readers, let us know how you overcome your feelings of low self-confidence, and give those of who need a boost the lift we need. Take care, and thanks for reading!

Easy Ways to Update Your Wardrobe on a Budget

wardrobe Update
Collaborative Content

Are you tired of wearing the same old things and looking to update your wardrobe? That could be easier said than done if you are living on a budget, but it’s not impossible. You just have to think about ways you can save money to let you make your wardrobe be more as you want it.

Check Out Your Closet

The first thing to do is go through your closet. How many things are shoved to the back that you have not worn for years? How many items have you forgotten you have? Some of these things could be altered slightly by adding new buttons, taking a couple of hinges off the length and maybe dying them a different color.

You might even find exactly what you are looking for without having to do anything to it at all.

Make A List

Make a list of everything you think you need in your wardrobe and then cross of the items you already have.  Look closely at what is left on the list and decide if you really need it.

You might need to make a choice between a new pair of jeans and a new top, but at least you will be doing that while you are thinking rationally and not in a panic while you are in the store.

Leave The Credit Cards At Home

Set yourself a budget of how much you have to spend draw it in cash from an ATM. Leave the credit cards at home so that you cannot be tempted to spend more than you have. Cash can also sometimes get you a better price, especially if you are shopping in a market or thrift shop.

Head For Clearance Racks

Clearance racks are usually at the back of the stores with the latest additions to their stock at the front. This is to try and entice people in. The clearance rack could have something you want at less than half the normal price. Even things that have become soiled are often sold much cheaper, but that does not mean the stain or mark will not come out when the garment is washed.

Will It Let You Mix And Match?

Whatever you buy should be wearable with at least three other items in your wardrobe as mixing and matching garments gives you so many more outfits. If it will only match one skirt or pair of trousers, put the top back and find one that will do better.

Sign Up For Special Offers

Most clothing stores have some sort of reward scheme in place. It could be that you have to collect points to get a discount on your next purchase, or they might send you vouchers codes so you can get a price reduction straight away. You can also see more here in terms of discounts. However they do it, reward schemes are something that can help you to reduce the amount of money you have to spend to freshen your wardrobe of clothes.

Browse Around The Thrift Stores

There will always be people who wear things once or twice and then decide to give them away. Generally, there is nothing wrong with them and you can pick up some real bargains in thrift stores.  It is not unusual for there to be designer clothes on their racks, ones that from anywhere else you would not be able to afford.

Avoid Trends – You Are Shopping For You

Fashions and trends are great if you have the mo9ney to keep up to date with them. When you are on a budget they should be avoided. You are shopping for you, not for the local fashion magazine. Put comfort before anything else, and be an individual in the way you dress.

The problem with fashions is that in just a few months they fall out of favor and then you have to spend a whole lot of money updating your wardrobe again.

Have A Clothes Swap Evening

Invite a few friends that are in the same position as you and tell them to bring all the clothes they would like to replace. Have a bottle of wine and a few snacks, and see how many clothes you can swap with each other. This could save you all a lot of money, and makes the best use of things that are being discarded.

Look At Menswear

You should always look in the menswear section of stores. For some reason, the same t-shirt for men and women will be cheaper in the men’s section. This is a common thing that the stores tend to do and they no doubt have their reasons. You may also find that shirts and other clothes will be a better price and add something a bit different to your wardrobe.

Learn To Walk Away

If you are pondering whether to buy an item and really are not sure, you should put it back in the rack and walk away. If you don’t when you get home it will go into your wardrobe and possibly never be worn because you will always be unsure about it.

Get To Know The Store Staff

If you get to know the sales assistants you could well find they will let you know when a sale is about to happen so that you can be one of the first to go through the clothes and get the best picks. The problem will sales is that there is only ever a certain amount of items up for grabs, and if you do not get there until toward the end, the best of them will already be gone.

Check the Prices Online

Most stores have an online presence that sells exactly the same items as in their physical store. The difference can be the price, as often they are sold cheaper online. You need to watch out for shipping costs, as that can push the overall payment to more than the physical store. However, more and more of them are shipping for free if your address is with the US.

These are a drop in the ocean of the ways to save money when you are trying to freshen your wardrobe, but hopefully, these tips will help you on your way.

How To Treat Chronic Sinusitis?

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 26.9 million Americans suffer from Chronic Sinusitis as of 2017. These statistics span across all racial demographics, social classes, and genders. Many individuals who suffer from Sinusitis do not know that they have it and instead self diagnose their symptoms as allergies. Several factors can be attributed to why so many people suffer from this condition, including Nasal Polyps, which are tissue growths that block the nasal passages or sinus, medical conditions, such as cystic fibrosis, environmental stressors, and physical trauma/impact to the nose.

What is Chronic Sinusitis

Chronic Sinusitis is a condition in which the cavities around the nasal passages become inflamed and excess mucus gets backed up in the sinuses. Symptoms of the condition often include headaches behind the eyes and forehead, facial tenderness, pressure or pain in the surrounding area, nasal congestion, difficulty breathing, and snoring. Individuals who experience these symptoms more than three times a year are likely suffering from Chronic Sinusitis. Living with untreated Chronic Sinusitis often hinders individuals’ daily lives.

Non surgical Treatments

The main goal of treating Chronic Sinusitis is to reduce the number of sinusitis flare-ups, eliminate the primary cause of the issue, reduce sinus inflammation, and maintain continuous drainage of the nasal passages. There are various non surgical treatments that individuals can explore in order to reduce or eliminate the symptoms of Sinusitis. Here is a list of these treatments.

Saline Nasal Irrigation- Saline nasal sprays rinse away irritants and allergies
Oral or Injected Corticosteroids- These are used to relieve inflammation from severe sinusitis
Nasal Corticosteroids- Nasal sprays that help prevent and treat inflammation. Examples include Nasonex, Flonase, and Rhinocort
Antibiotics- These are helpful for Chronic Sinusitis that is caused by a bacterial infection
Immunotherapy- Allergy shots that help reduce the body’s reaction to specific allergens. Immunotherapy is helpful for individuals whose sinusitis is compounded by allergies.

Surgical Treatment

For individuals whose Chronic Sinusitis is unresponsive to non surgical treatment, surgery is the next option. For many, the mere thought of surgery is frightening for multiple reasons. As someone who had to resort to corrective surgery due to Chronic Sinusitis, I can identify with the apprehension to surgery since I was very apprehensive about the overall process prior to having it. I was concerned about whether or not it would actually work, if it would alter my nose and face in any way, and whether or not it was safe. I did not know what to expect since I had never had surgery before. Years later, I no longer suffer from heavy snoring and breathing restrictions. Although I still have minor congestion and excess mucus, they are less severe than they were prior to surgery. Additionally, the surgery did not alter my facial appearance. Unlike cosmetic surgery, these surgeries are intended to relieve and/or correct a condition therefore it is not necessary to fear that your appearance will be altered. Here are some types of these corrective surgeries.

Endoscopic sinus surgery- Procedure in which doctors look at sinus passages to identify the source of the obstruction and then use instruments to remove tissue or shave away polyp that is causing nasal blockage.
Balloon Sinuplasty- Process in which mucus is drained from the blocked sinus in order to restore normal sinus drainage.
Turbinate Reduction- Procedures in which all or part of the lower turbinate is removed, or the position of the turbinate is changed, or the turbinate tissue is shrunk through the use of a thin probe placed into the nose.
Septoplasty- Procedure in which the crooked nasal septum is straightened and repositioned in order to reduce symptoms such as breathing difficulties.

Generally, it is recommended that individuals exhaust different non surgical options before deciding to have surgery. If all of the non surgical treatments that you have tried were unsuccessful and you are ready to explore surgery, be sure to find a surgeon that you feel comfortable with, is knowledgeable, and qualified.

Surgical Butt Lift vs. Brazilian Butt Lift: What’s the Difference?

Surgical Butt Lift vs. Brazilian Butt Lift: What’s the Difference?

The vast majority of women are unhappy with the way one particular part of their body looks for some reason or another. Some women feel self-conscious because they think their breasts are too small, while others are unhappy with the saggy skin and extra fat around their belly that often results from childbirth. Furthermore, the huge rise in the number of butt lift surgeries being performed seems to indicate that many women are more concerned with their rear ends.

In this sense, there is no doubt that a buttock lift or other enhancement procedure may hold the key to improving your self-confidence and giving you the round, full or firm butt you’ve always dreamed of. However, it is important that all patients understand that there are different butt lift techniques and that each technique is generally more suitable for correcting specific problems. Therefore, here is a quick overview of both surgical butt lifts and Brazilian butt lifts and how they differ in terms of surgical procedure and expected results.

Basic Facts about Surgical and Brazilian Butt Lifts

If you’re looking for a rounder, more natural and shapelier appearance, either a surgical butt lift or a Brazilian butt lift may be a good option. Nonetheless, it is vital that you understand the type of results each procedure can potentially provide in order to determine which gives you the best chance of meeting your specific goals.

With a traditional gluteal lift, the goal is to produce more slender, younger looking thighs and a tighter, firmer, shapelier butt. In this way, a surgical butt lift should be looked at as a purely restorative procedure designed to combat issues caused by loss of skin elasticity due to aging and/or excessive weight gain. In effect, this type of butt lift does exactly what its name suggests, which is to lift the skin and fatty tissue in your butt back up to a higher, more natural position and improve the overall shape, tone and contour of the butt.

A Brazilian butt lift, on the other hand, is designed to serve an entirely different purpose altogether. The obvious goal of this procedure is to provide the patient with a much rounder, more shapely derriere. However, the fact is that a Brazilian butt lift isn’t actually a lift at all.

Instead, it is really more of a butt augmentation designed to add volume to the patient’s rear end. Still, the reason it usually isn’t referred to as one is because a traditional butt augmentation uses implants similar to those used in breast augmentation, whereas the Brazilian butt lift achieves the desired volume increase by filling out the butt with fat taken from your own body through liposuction. This gives you the advantage of both getting the larger, rounder butt you desire and also potentially being able to tackle stubborn fat in your belly, thighs or other areas with liposuction.

Steps to Performing a Surgical Butt Lift

When performing a surgical buttocks lift, the surgeon’s main goal is to better shape and tone the underlying tissue in a way that better supports your gluteal skin and fat. Generally, this mostly involves removing excess sagging skin and suturing the tissue in a way that raises the butt back up to a more natural position. The ultimate purpose of a surgical butt lift is not to remove any excess fat to achieve a smaller butt, nor is it to increase the volume and make the butt bigger.

However, some excess fat is still usually removed during the procedure, and the surgeon may also opt to do a small amount of liposuction to help better shape and contour the butt. On the other hand, some patients choose to undergo butt augmentation at the same time as their butt lift in order to achieve a bigger, fuller appearance.

Understanding What’s Involved in a Brazilian Butt Lift

Once you understand that a Brazilian butt lift isn’t a butt lift at all, it also becomes much easier to understand what it is, and that is a procedure designed to give you that bigger, rounder, fuller butt that so many women crave. However, a Brazilian butt lift can potentially provide many advantages over traditional butt augmentation with implants.

In essence, this procedure is a highly specialized type of fat transfer whereby the surgeon uses liposuction to remove excess fat from the belly, thighs, hips or lower back, and then use this to increase the size and improve the overall shape and appearance of the patient’s butt. What this means is that a skilled cosmetic surgeon can actually use this procedure to almost completely reshape and contour your entire lower body. Not only will it enhance the size and shape of your butt, but it can also improve any areas where you struggle with stubborn fat.

Factors That Can Influence Patient Satisfaction

Choosing the right type of butt augmentation procedure is obviously one of the most important factors in determining how likely you are to be satisfied with the results of your butt lift surgery. It is essential you understand the specific advantages and benefits provided by each procedure as this will help to ensure you go into your operation with realistic expectations of what type of results you can expect. Still, it is just as important that you understand that your choice of cosmetic surgeon plays a huge part in both expected results and patient satisfaction.

No matter whether it’s a surgical butt lift, Brazilian butt lift or most any other type of cosmetic surgery, the knowledge and skills of the surgeon combined with their level of experience with the specific procedure are hugely important when determining the outcome. In a way, a skilled plastic surgeon is as much an artist as they are a medical professional. Extreme precision, attention to detail, high levels of concentration and various other factors determine just how good a cosmetic surgeon is at producing results their patients are satisfied with.

A board-certified doctor in both plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Donald Roland provides patients with a down-to-earth, hands-on approach to cosmetic surgery. Dr. Roland specializes in body contouring, facial plastic surgery, breast surgery as well as in Brazilian butt lift at his office in Manhattan, New York.

In Cataract Examination Health Health Problem Concerns Healthy Signs Of Aging

Don’t Fight With Time… Signs Of Getting Older We Need To Focus On

Collaborative Content

It's never something that we want to think about, but, the fact is, our steady decline begins as soon as we turn 18 years old! While we've spent a lot of time trying to fight old mother time, there are always going to be signs that we are getting older in age, but what are these important signs, and is there anything we can really do to combat these?

 Our Eyesight Getting Worse

It’s common that a lot of people have issues with their eyesight early on in life, and if you have concerns, it's always worth going to get a cataract examination, or visit an optician, just to make sure that everything is checked. The vast majority of the time, especially when you're younger, is that you will require reading glasses. But, with a lot of eyesight issues, we can actually try to fix them ourselves. There are things we can do to exercise our eyes. There are numerous resources online to help us with this, but sometimes, you may find that you've gone to an optician for a checkup, and your minor eyesight problems have actually fixed themselves. In which case, you've got a pair of reading glasses to help you read if you are feeling a little bit tired!

 Our Mental Health

A very important thing to talk about now is our mental health. We don't always feel inclined to tell everybody about how we are feeling, but it's more common in those that have reached retirement age, that they can begin to feel isolated. But, this is not to say that we aren't all prone to a few moments of mental health issues ourselves. We need to recognize our own individual triggers. Maybe stress and anxiety are two things you have a predilection towards, in which case, finding positive outlets, whether through friends or family members, or taking that opportunity to step back from life and do the things that you know are good for your mental health, are very important to maintaining our overall sense of sanity. This is something that we can ignore because the pressures of modern life are too much to bear sometimes. As we get older, we begin to appreciate the quieter moments in life. When we're in our 20s and 30s, we see everyone else around this going at a million miles an hour and we feel we have to do the same. But, be sure to trust your instincts, and to listen to your gut. Because you may be doing something that's not particularly healthy for you.

 Our Physical Health

As sure as eggs is eggs, our physical health begins to decline, and this isn't just in terms of whether we eat a bad diet or not, as we get older, things become a little bit more difficult to do. But, it doesn't need to be this way. Instead, by keeping an eye on our own physical health, and taking positive steps to fix this as soon as possible, we can live a long and happy life with minimal issues. Of course, everybody talks about exercise being important, but a lot of people feel that they have to exercise 7 days a week in order to maintain some semblance of physical strength. This isn't the case, and in fact, you can actually exercise too much, and put yourself in a physical deficit. We seem to have the opinion that we have to rely on walking sticks after a certain time in our lives, but this isn't the case. The fact is that muscle is something that can regenerate itself if we give it the right nutrients and stimulus. A lot of people who have suffered accidents have been able to rebuild their strength with resistance exercises and weight training. The important thing to know is what is best for you. Generally, weight training is a very good way for us to keep our strength up, but we need to supplement it with the right nutrition. As we get older, calcium is drawn out of our bones, so, we need to ensure that we are taking the best supplements possible to combat any physical deterioration. We have to accept that physical deterioration is part of getting older; we don't need to think that as soon as we turned 60, we're going to need a wheelchair to get around!

 That Existential Dread

There are milestones in our lives where we are reminded of our own mortality. Maybe friends pass away, or we lose loved ones, and this can result in an existential crisis of sorts. But it's important to gain a sense of clarity, but this is something that we can't do without gaining life experience. The best defense in this respect is to find ways to reduce our own stress. There are so many different ways for us to recognize how we are feeling anxious, but it's a part of life that we feel concerned about getting older. But we view getting older as a negative thing; because it seems that we are in a permanent state of decline. Yes, we are, but are we going to spend the rest of our lives worrying about it, or are we going to embrace this, and use the things that we actually develop as we get older, such as our intelligence? It is a part of getting older, and maybe we end up going to more funerals and weddings, and everyone around us is getting pregnant, but we all feel that as we get older, that our life is slowly beginning to tick away. It's a big cliché, but it's all about being in the moment, and embracing what we have now. Our life is what we make it. There are people that we know who are constantly in a negative frame of mind, and then there are others who are totally positive, and we can take one of two options, so which one is it going to be? Getting older is inevitable, but we need to reframe our own attitudes towards it. Yes, there are numerous signs we are getting older, such as our physical decline, mental health issues, and being worried about the fact we're getting older, but, life is what you make it. So maybe it's not worth focusing on those couple of wrinkles, and actually burrowing deep into ourselves to think about what is actually important in life.

In Christian Community Christian Fellowship Christian Sisterhood Christianity Encouragement

Coming Together As Christian Sisters

When you first become a Christian, It's always important to surround yourself with like-minded believers. The Christian walk is such a distinct one, and it's easy to fall. However, if you have strong people surrounding you, you'll be able to have a better chance of sticking with the course. As a woman, it's really good to connect with other Christian women. Consider these three ways you can make that happen.

 1. Get involved with your local congregation. One of the best ways to get started involves finding a local congregation and an active women's ministry. Most churches have men's and women's ministry programs. Once you get involved with a christian women's fellowship, you can attend the different events they have. You can also get an opportunity to make new friends and potential life-long connections.

Christian Sisterhood

 2. Find Christian communities online. There are so many women who are unapologetic about sharing their faith in the digital space. Some women are Christian writers and have books that they want to promote. As a result, they have created communities with like-minded women. You can easily find these women on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Just do a simple web search or use hashtags to find communities. Once you figure out the communities that work best for you, engage with them by commenting on their posts and sharing your own as well. Once you connect with these different communities online, know that some of them host several conferences, meetups and gatherings that allow you to meet many of these ladies in person.

 3. Begin volunteering with Christian organizations. One of the major components of Christianity is service. Your service to your community is a Biblical mandate. Whether you are working in the mission field, ministering to those in prison or feeding the hungry, it's important to actively engage in service acts. Find organizations with people who believe in active service. Whether you serve once a week or once a month, make sure that this is something you cultivate. When you cultivate this attitude of service, you'll be able to meet people who have the same mindset. You'll be able to serve alongside them and encourage one another along the way.

In How To maintain A Relationship Lifestyle Relationship Tips On Relationships

How To Maintain A Happy Relationship (Blog Post Share)

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing fine today. Today I'm re sharing a post I wrote as a guest blogger from "Fancy Your Aura. It's about maintaining a happy relationship.

We love love, but every relationship have their problems. There's no such thing as a perfect relationship in this world, but we can do things to rekindle the happiness. As you know in the beginning you have those butterflies in your tummy and your heart is so filled with love for the partner you are with. You two go out on romantic dates, hold hands, kiss and whisper sweet nothings and I love you's, but as times goes by a year passes then many years. The stress of work, paying bills really starts to take a toll on the relationship and you start to question it. In this post I will give you some tips to keep love and happiness alive.
1. Communication is key!

If there is no communication between the two ever then the relationship will fall apart fast. Communicating your problems with each is a start. Be open and don't hold back what's going on in your heart. When you speak your concerns don't shout at your partner be stern and gentle. Shouting only will fuel the conversation and lead it into another direction you don't want to go. Show some love by placing your hand on their hand and start to speak. This will show them you really care and want to get things solved.

2. Alone Time

We are allowed to have time for ourselves from our partners. Let's face it being around them 24/7 without a break will get boring so if you want alone time talk it out on the day you want to spend time with your friends or even by yourself. Go to that cool movie you always wanted to see, have lunch or dinner with a family member. For me personally I would go spend a night with my mother. When you are out call or text your partner to let them know you are thinking about them. Send cute selfies of yourself and the places you are having fun at. Alone time is key to a better relationship and with yourself.

3. Go The Extra Mile

Doing things for your partner shows them you really love them and will do anything for them. I make coffee for my husband every morning while he is asleep and wake him up with a good morning honey and sometimes a smooch on the lips. He loves that and smiles when I bring him his morning coffee. Whatever it is they love try to fulfill it. Cook their favorite meal, bring her flowers and a card, get him his favorite cologne or buy that sexy lingerie he was browsing that he wanted for you.

4. Bring Laughter!

Laughter cures the soul. Being silly with each other is so refreshing. Crack some jokes, tickle their funny spots or watch your favorite comedy movies with them. I love being silly with my husband because he loves being silly also and this keeps the relationship fun and exciting.

5. Play Stranger Role Play

What I mean about this is plan to meet where you first met and role play. In the beginning your eyes locked with each other so you walk over and introduce yourself and offer to by them a drink. Strike up some good conversation like when you both met. You can even role play at home, maybe a superhero lol! or even that sexy Vixen you left in the past. In Fall fashion Plastic Surgeon Self Esteem Guide Transform Your Look

5 Ways to Completely Transform Your Look

You can probably categorize your friends in terms of how they look, and this is possible due to their preferences. Perhaps some of your friends dislike using makeup all the time, or perhaps some of them use it a little too much for your personal tastes. Maybe one of your friends can rock multi-coloured eyeshadows without looking silly, or perhaps someone you know absolutely loves high-end fashion.

The choices we make regarding our appearance often define who we are. Our choice of clothing usually depends on our frugality (or lack of it) and the way we put on makeup and do our hair can change depending on our circumstances.

But since our appearance is so closely tied to our lifestyles, can we make a complete transformation to our look?

1. Focus on your self-esteem

Your self-esteem typically stems from how confident you are in your body and your appearance. Many people find themselves pressured by society, being forced to conform to certain dress standards depending on their neighbourhood, their workplace or other factors. If your self-esteem is being harmed, then try adding your own rebellious tones to your appearance and outfit. For instance, do away with boring single-tone shirts and wear what makes you happy. Be it bright and colourful patterns or a logo of your favourite television show, wear what makes you feel great and boosts your self-esteem.

2. Change your attitude

Attitude and personality have more to say than just your clothes. Wearing street fashion doesn’t suddenly make you “street”, and wearing a suit doesn’t mean you’re going to be invited to a fancy dinner with your boss. The clothes you wear only tell part of the story, so focus on changing your attitude if you really want to transform your look and how people perceive you.

3. Consider more drastic measures

There are plenty of ways to completely change your appearance, but it depends on how far you’re willing to go. Some women are more than happy to look for a plastic surgeon to help them transform their bodies, and some are fine with small non-invasive cosmetic procedures to change small parts of their face. If you’re serious about transforming your look, then this is a viable option.

4. Find fashion that you personally love

Don’t just wear brands that you see everyone else wearing. Instead, find your own style by looking for inspiration in fashion magazines, style bloggers or even social media. Find what you personally love in fashion and change out your wardrobe so you have new clothes to wear that fit your personality instead of trying to fit in and copy others around you.

5. Colours are everything

Colour can say a lot about someone’s appearance. If you’re used to neutral colours that blend in and are inoffensive, then consider a bright and colourful change. For instance, consider changing your hair colour and adding different tones, or think about the type of makeup you use and the clothes you wear. Colours can completely transform someone’s appearance, so make good use of it!

Breaking Free From an Addiction

Free From Addiction
Collaborative Content

Addictions are something we are starting to talk about much more commonly today, which is good as almost everyone engages in some form of addictive behaviour - as the majority of addictions are merely coping mechanisms.

We all know someone that’s looking to give up smoking or stop comfort eating in an attempt to lose weight, and similarly, many of us will know people that have sought help in terms of recovery from alcohol and drug abuse.  Today, addictions are much less of a taboo than they once were as many people we look up to, in the world of celebrities, are known for battling addictions with sporadic stints in rehab.

That said, not everyone is able to afford rehab, so in this article we’re going to look at an underlying fundamental principle when it comes to breaking free from an addiction.

The core aspect of any addictive behaviour, and perhaps that’s the first thing to realise - an addiction is a habitual pattern of behaviour that starts to have power over us due to the meaning we attach to it.

It’s a universal truth that nothing in life has meaning, other than the meaning to which we attach to it, thus everything is fundamentally subjective.  Now, for someone that associates smoking with stress relief, for instance, it’s going to be hard to break the pattern of behavior because they associate smoking with something positive - stress relief - so in their mind, the way they are wired to think about smoking is not something that is causing harm, but, something that’s causing pleasure… even though, intellectually they may know it’s bad for them, we are emotional creatures and somewhat subservient to our emotional drives.

In that sense, if you want to stop smoking, you simply need to change the association - stop associating a positive meaning to the activity of putting a cigarette in your mouth, and start associating pain.

If you’ve ever noticed, this is at the core of all positive change, as many times, it’s only when a doctor says the three most dreaded words in our language “you have cancer” that people start to make some lifestyle shifts… and even then, some people will continue to smoke, because they are so attached to the meaning of “smoking equals pleasure or comfort” they choose not to give it up.

That’s the other aspect to this, addictions, whilst they might not feel like it - are a choice - agreed, sometimes addictions can truly play havoc with people’s lives and they don’t feel they are in control, as the addiction takes over, but fundamentally, what a person chooses to do, is a choice.

Therefore, to get someone to make a different choice, you simply need to help them associate pleasure with a more positive habit and pain with the addictive behaviour.  The more pain they associate with the thing they are wanting to change, then the more able they will be to shift the meaning and ultimately break free from the addiction.

In Bizarre Weight Loss Tips Diet Health Ways To Lose Weight Weight Loss

Eight Bizarre Weight Loss Tricks That Work

No matter where you go online, you can find a solution for weight loss. Whether you’re looking to loosen up your muscles to make yourself more bendy or you’re looking for a quick-fix solution for that little black dress event ahead, there’s always a way to get there. The thing is, weight loss isn’t a one size fits all activity. Losing weight and getting healthier is individual and what works for one person won’t be the solution for someone else. There are healthy ways to lose weight long term, but if you want to experiment and try something new, or even if you just want to lose those last couple of pounds, then these eight quirky ways could work for you.

Sniff, Sniff.
This is going to sound truly bizarre, but if you want to go totally quirky for your weight loss, how about sniffing fruit or peppermint? It’s true. There have been studies performed with over three thousand volunteers and the more frequently that people sniffed these foods, the less hungry they were. It’s like the brain is tricked into thinking you’re eating. Try not to sniff apples unless you plan to eat them though; especially not those in a shared fruit bowl at work.

Breakfast Like A King.
Eating a big breakfast means that you slowly release energy throughout the day, and in doing so, you curb your need to snack on junk foods. A smaller dinner compared to a bigger, more calorific breakfast could be the very answer that you need to slim down.

A Cup Of Motivation.
Social media is full of information about Skinny Coffees and detox teas, when really, all you need is to go a little natural. We all know the great things about green tea, but if you haven’t yet, it may be time to read up on the benefits of ginger tea for weight loss. Not only do you get to try a new flavour, but you get the chance to have a delicious cup of tea instead of a sugary soft drink.

Set Up Patterns.
Every time you get a piece of junk mail or a takeaway menu through your mailbox, do a jog around the block for every piece you get. Ten pieces equals ten laps. When you set up patterns like this, not only are you encouraging your body to get moving, you’re going to feel fantastic about yourself as you go.

Mirror, Mirror.
No one likes to watch themselves eat. It’s just not nice to clock an image of yourself chowing down on your dinner like it’s the last meal on earth. So, if you’re having an issue with seeing yourself eat, then perhaps it’s time to mount a mirror on the wall opposite your seat at the dining table. If you don’t like what you see, it can be enough to help you learn to cut back on your snacks and eat more nutrient-rich foods.
Get Accountable.
It may not be your thing, but Instagram is actually a fantastic weight loss tool. Having a following of people who are waiting for you to post your meals is a good way to feel like you need to shoot your food. Get accountable with it and let others see what you’re eating. This way, you can learn to create better food habits for yourself.
Scented Candles – Not For Consumption.
Lighting a scented candle after dinner in a vanilla or fruity scent can head off cravings for dessert foods. The appetite is suppressed, and you can breeze on with your day without the chocolate eclairs calling your name from the refrigerator.
Go Blue
Did you know that a colour can be an appetite suppressant? There are very few restaurants out there that have blue lighting, and it’s because people don’t find their food as appealing when it’s highlighted with blue. If you aim to eat on blue plates and have a blue tablecloth, you’re more likely to eat less of your food. Orange, yellow and red are colours that are full, which encourages you to eat more. Isn’t the brain great?
There are – of course – so very many more ways that you can lose weight, both quirky and conventional. The question is about what could work for you. Don’t measure your progress against anyone else’s, just trust in the method you choose and take notes on how it’s working for you. You could really be surprised in what you find. Trust the process and the weight will go.
